The 4th graders at Alan Shepard Elementary School in Long Grove packaged 5000 meals today to feed the hungry around the world and around the corner. They were so excited to package meals, one little guy said to me “This is the best day of school ever!” Another child was going to be pulled out of school early today for springbreak and he told his parents he didn’t want out early because he was going to do Kids Against Hunger. What a great group of kids!!!
